Before the pool and landscape were installed this site was a steep slope extending from the house to the woodline at the back of the property. The complicated conservation setbacks and existing leaching field posed considerable challenges that needed to be overcome by precision pool placement and building of a large retaining wall (not shown). The side property was built up to create a space for a waterfall and privacy plantings which area all retained by a craftsman New England fieldstone retaining wall. A set of tiered fieldstone walls hold back the slope into the backyard to create an inviting entry to the pool area from the front yard and overlooking deck.
